While microtargeting based on demographic information is not a new trend in campaign strategy, campaigns traditionally relied on analyzing voter behavior within broader categories such as age or gender before big data was easily accessible.

Each student in a group is to pick 2 questions & respond as if they were the nurse practitioner. Responses should have a detailed pathophysiological component.
The nurse practitioner is examining a 25 year old woman who has no current complaints. In reviewing her family history the NP notices her sister and mother have Hashimoto’s disease. Based on this discuss the following:
- Is this patient at risk for the development of Hashimoto’s? Discuss why or why not.
- What are the signs & symptoms of Hashimoto’s & what would a thyroid profile reveal in a person with Hashimoto?
